Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center
Let's Say Thanks!
The Let's Say Thanks! "Postcards from Home" is a way to send a message to our deployed servicemen and women. Beginning Monday November 8th the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center invites veterans, visitors, staff and the local community to stop by the Uptown and Downtown Hospitals to send hundreds of thank you cards through a week-long drive hosted with Xerox Corporation’s (NYSE: XRX). Let’s Say Thanks® program, a national effort designed to deliver messages of support to U.S. military personnel.
The card designs were drawn by local community children, ages 6 to 14. The pictures symbolize patriotism, everything from local desert landscape to an American bald eagle.
This year’s winner is the child of a local veteran, treated at the Charlie Norwood VAMC. She knows firsthand the spirit of patriotism growing up with a mother who served our country. Her picture depicts American symbolism with the American Flag waving while the Bald Eagle proudly stands.
Xerox will set up tables in the lobby for postcards to be signed daily from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on November 8th, 9th, and 10th at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. Cards may also be signed at the Veterans Day parade on November 11th.
Come out to show your support. Sign cards for our Servicemen and Women.
